On the 15th September 2009 Toll Aviation took delivery of there new Hobart 60KVA GPU. It is the first of its kind in Australia. Toll is leading the way in ground power by taking advantages of the Technology and cost savings that come with the new generation Hobart’s.

This new QSB Cummins diesel engine offers not only to meet current tier 3 emissions standards, but also offers up to 20% less fuel consumption and superior regulation via the engines electronic control module.

Another advantage of the new 60KVA unit is that it is fitted with an in line lubricity fuel filter which allows the customer to run the Ground power unit on JetA1. This saves the customer time and money on airports where standard diesel isn’t readily available or too expensive.

The new standard features on the 60KVA ground power unit are:

Corrosion free 132 Litre fuel tank.

Low Fuel warning and automatic shutdown.

Delayed stop (for turbo protection) and     emergency shutdown.
